This site contains plans for one of my recent projects, titled "After the Deluge." This project encompasses an earlier series, 'Receptacles for Water,' that has been adapted to work in conjunction with the installation.

Both series ultimately deal with isolation in excess, leisure and commodity and the attempted subjugation of nature. A complete statement is available in addition to high resolution files of all images on this site.

 

 

LEFT: Twenty-three 'After the Deluge' paintings which are watercolor, oil and encaustic on paper.

Painting dimensions vary in multiples of: 15" x 11", 7 1/2" x 11", and 5 1/2" x 7 1/2"

Also shown are two of the wall-mounted sculptures - plaster, watercolor, oil and encaustic. Approximately 4" in diameter. Studies for the floor sculpture are shown below.

The ultimate installation will activate more of the gallery wall space and include additional sculptural components.
